Physical-chemical properties - Talc is a mineral, alkalic magnesium silicate. It features high chemical resistance on acids, alkalis and other surfactants, it is an excellent thermal and electric insulant. Its typical property is substratum effect / ability to accept other materials on its surface without any reaction/. Among its further qualities are softness, tenacity and resistance to high temperatures. No toxic effects are known.
Usage- Talc KT 1 has very high whiteness, that is why it´s used as an eminent talc for the paints and dyes industry, for really low contents of Fe, Ca and low ignition loss also in ceramic manufacture (like a base for tiles , porcelain and utensils glazing), in the plastic industry (PP, HDPE, LDPE, PVC a ABS), rubber, binding materials, etc.
